With our platform, you can choose the gateway that best fits your needs, whether you want direct payments to your account via Razorpay or prefer our in-house UPI solution that automatically collects funds into your Fermion balance. Our payment systems are designed to simplify the payment process for both instructors and learners. Students can pay using a variety of popular methods, including UPI apps, credit/debit cards, and netbanking. With low transaction fees, instant verification, and real-time payment updates, you can focus on creating and delivering content while Fermion handles the complexities of payment processing. Accessing payment gateways

To manage your payment gateways:

Navigate to Payment Gateways

Go to your Instructor Dashboard → Payment Gateway section in the sidebar. This is where you can view all available gateways, enable/disable them, and manage credentials.

Choose your gateway

Select the Razorpay gateway and click on Show details button to configure various settings. If no gateway is selected, the primary gateway would be Fermion’s in-house UPI integration.
If no payment gateway is enabled, Fermion’s in-house UPI gateway will be active, and payments will be added to your Fermion balance for withdrawal via payouts. If Razorpay is enabled, student payments go directly to your Razorpay account.

Fermion’s in-house UPI solution

Our in-house UPI solution allows you to accept instant payments from any Indian UPI app. No third-party account setup is required. After clicking Complete Order, your students can pay using Google Pay, PayTM, BHIM UPI, or any UPI app. Transactions are instant and secure.
By using Fermion’s in-house UPI solution, transaction costs are significantly reduced to just 0.5%, compared to the typical 2% charged by platforms like Razorpay.

Razorpay Integration

Razorpay is a widely trusted payment gateway in India, suitable for processing INR payments through UPI, credit/debit cards, and netbanking. It offers secure payment processing, instant notifications, and robust reporting tools for businesses of all sizes. If the Razorpay gateway is disabled, Fermion’s default in-house UPI solution will automatically handle payments, ensuring uninterrupted transaction flow. You can enable Razorpay at Fermion with the help of the following steps:

Enable Razorpay

Toggle the switch to enable the gateway. Once enabled, it becomes active immediately for new orders.
Avoid toggling the Razorpay gateway on and off. Disabling it after activation may cause payment failures and split payouts, complicating your finances.

Add Credentials

Enter your Key ID and Key Secret provided by Razorpay. These credentials ensure that payments are securely linked to your account. Learn more on where to find these credentials.

Configure Webhook

Add the following Webhook URL provided in your Fermion Dashboard to your Razorpay account. Learn more about how to add webhook URLs at Razorpay.
Enable the following webhook event:
  • payment.captured
Utilize the Webhook Signing Secret to verify webhook signatures.
This ensures that Fermion receives real-time updates about payment status and avoids manual reconciliation.

Add Razorpay to Fermion

Click on the Update button to add the Razorpay gateway to Fermion. Now you can receive payments from your learners with the help of Razorpay.

Receiving payouts

Payouts are the transfers of your earned revenue from Fermion to your bank account. Whenever students purchase your courses or content, the collected payments are accumulated in your Fermion account balance. Receiving payouts ensures that you get your earnings securely and on time. It’s important to keep your payout details accurate so that funds are transferred without delays or errors. Getting paid with Fermion is simple and hassle-free.
